
Kerstin Rao
unlocks secrets and beauty through careful observation. Her most recent series of 30 works on paper, rendered in pen and colored pencil, focus on the fresh intrigue of farmer’s market bouquets. Her work radiates with wonder in the natural world.


Education
At age 15 Kerstin studied at Eastern Kentucky University then transferred to Vassar College, where she earned her B.F.A. in Fine Art. Graduate coursework included printmaking, animation, and drawing at the School of Visual Arts with a summer art intensive in Florence, Italy. She earned a Masters in Special Education from Bank Street and devoted her creativity to helping students for 34 years.
Exhibits
Kerstin is a member of the Artists Collective of Westport with pieces in their shows at the Westport Library, the Westport Country Playhouse Barn, as well as local pop-ups. Her work was accepted in juried shows at the Pequot Library and Weston Library. Currently, her prints can be seen on the walls of the co-working collective Hayvn in their Darien and Greenwich locations.
